We are missing the children of San Fernando and we've left a part of ourselves there with them. God touched all of our hearts and we will treasure the memories that were made with each child forever. We head back to Quito tomorrow, and then home on Monday.....we've had many amazing adventures (climbing waterfalls, horseback riding, swinging over cliffs, sightseeing, museums & twister battles). Thank you for all of your prayers....enjoy the photos!

Dia Numero Tres

Sorry we missed updating yesterday, but our blog writer came down with a high altitude headache, but is muy bien today! Please keep Ken Nelson in your prayers though, he is in the hospital today due to dehydration and possible food poisoning. His wife Konnie is the ultimate trooper and took our team up to San Fernando for our third day of camp & ran back and forth between the VBS & Sports' Camp translating for all of us! Thank you Konnie- you Rock!
We have an awesome team that is bonding so well together and is sharing the love of Jesus with the children of San Fernando! Thank you for your prayers!

Primer Dia!

Hola! We had an amazing first day of VBS & Sports Camp! At VBS we played games, sang songs, face painted, played with bubbles, made wordless bracelets & had a 'word' from Rusty the dog puppet in Spanish explaining Gods' love for all children! At Sports Camp the kids were split into two teams, practiced drills, and finished with a scrimmage in which the Tejanos beat the Pumas, 4-3 (I, Travis was on the winning team!).

Hasta Manana,
Travis!

Quito, Ecuador

We landed safely in Quito, Ecuador last night around midnight, waited in the never ending immigration line, and made it to the hospitality house around 1:30 am this morning.....slept as good as we could despite the barking dog who we all decided needed to meet his maker! We leave for Cuenca in a couple of hours. Everyone is doing well!

Peace Homies, I'm out!

Smiles & Bomb Swabs

It's 4:30 and we're entertaining ourselves with cards, dice, and airport shopping as we count the minutes before our flight to Quito. We all made it through security okay, except for Justin. He had to go into the little glass room and get swabbed down for explosives. He came out smiling.

Please enjoy the attached photos as we have nothing too exciting to report at the moment.

Blessings,
Travis Platt
